SAN DIEGO, CA (WLFI) - West Lafayette cross country runner Bobbie Burgess earned All-American status on Saturday in San Diego, California.
Burgess finished in ninth place at the Foot Locker Cross Country Nationals.
"It means a lot," said Burgess. "It opens so many doors for me now and just to even make it here is a huge honor. It was so much fun. I love my team, my coaches, and my parents. I am glad I could show them how much they inspire me each day."
There were 40 runners that competed in the national event.
