WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - A game that went back and forth down the stretch ended with a 93-89 victory for Nebraska in triple overtime at Mackey Arena on Thursday night. Purdue falls to 8-2 in Big Ten conference play and has now lost two straight conference games.

Antionette Howard had a 3 point field goal go in and out at the end of regulation that would have given Purdue the win. Then in the second overtime, Purdue led by four points with 20 seconds to play and allowed Nebraska to tie the game and force the third and final overtime period.

The Boilermakers were led by senior Alex Guyton who scored 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Purdue had five players finish the game in double figures. However, Brittany Rayburn and Courtney Moses combined to shoot 7-26 from the field as the Boilermakers finished the night shooting 37% from the field as a team.

In the final 4 minutes of regulation and the overtime periods there were 10 lead changes. The Boilermakers will look to bounce back from their first ever triple overtime game in program history on Sunday when they welcome the Fighting Illini to Mackey Arena. Tip is set for 2:00 p.m. and the game is not scheduled to be televised.
