WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The Purdue football team departed for Dallas Friday morning, where the Boilermakers will continue preparations for their upcoming Heart of Dallas Bowl matchup against Oklahoma State.
Interim Head Coach Patrick Higgins, the Boilermaker coaching staff and the Boiler players are scheduled to work out in Dallas Saturday, Sunday and Monday in Dallas.
New Head Coach Darrell Hazell is scheduled to attend the Boilermakers' bowl game on New Year's Day.
The Boilers' game against the Cowboys is slated to start at noon EST.
Purdue didn't practice Wednesday due to the bad weather, a decision that interim head coach Patrick Higgins said he would make every time when it comes to safety.
“You don't want those kids to be on the road,” Higgins said. “Even the kids that were in Indianapolis. To have them drive up, or to have the kids from Chicago to drive down, we don't want to put anyone at risk in that situation.”
