Anthrop out with ankle injury

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Former Central Catholic Knight and Purdue wide receiver, Danny Anthrop will miss the next three to four months due to an ankle injury.

Anthrop suffered ligament damage to the ankle during the Heart of Dallas Bowl on January 1, 2013. He originally injured the ankle during preparation for the bowl game. Anthrop will have surgery in order to repair the ankle.

Anthrop played in 12 games for the Boilers during his freshman season. He carried the ball seven times for 58 yards and one touchdown. He caught one pass for 25 yards and one touchdown. He also returned two kicks for 34 yards.
