LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The Lafayette All-Stars and Hoosier North lost their respective games at the Colt World Series Monday, each by a two-run margin.
The All-Stars lost to a team from Ottawa, Illinois 12-10 Monday evening at Loeb Stadium. The Ottawa ballclub had an eight-run outburst in the fourth inning, putting the All-Stars in a deficit they were unable to rally from. The Lafayette squad trailed by as many as seven runs before rallying to pull within two runs.
Hoosier North lost Monday to a team from Paderborn, Germany by a final of 5-3, dropping Hoosier North's record in the 2012 Colt World Series to 0-3.
