Walton, Ind. (WLFI) - As Class 2-A semi-state gets closer, the Lewis Cass football team can't help but think of how close they are to state. It's been on their minds since two-a-day practices began in late summer.

They've had a great season with just one loss to West Lafayette by 7 points in August.

The team also hopes to follow the girl's softball team's lead and win state.

The Kings will host Jimtown in semi-state play Friday at 7:30 p.m. with highlights of the game on the Friday Night Frenzy.
