LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Central Catholic student-athlete Alanna Roswarski signed a letter of intent Monday to play college basketball next season at Ave Maria, a Catholic university located in southwest Florida.
Ave Maria freshman and 2012 Central Catholic graduate Austin Munn is a freshman on the baseball team at Ave Maria and was on hand for Roswarski's signing day, as were Alanna's parents, Tony and Tonya Roswarski. Tony is the mayor of Lafayette.
"I am really excited and it has been a long time coming," Alanna Roswarski said Monday afternoon. "It is really great to have the stress gone and to know where I want to be the next four years."
Roswarski, who scored 11 points in the Knights 53-40 victory over Crawfordsville Monday evening, is averaging 10.6 points per game this season along with 4.6 rebounds per game. Roswarski is just 136 points of the 1,000 career points mark at Central Catholic.
