WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Purdue bounced back from consecutive losses to Villanova and Oregon to post a 66-40 victory over UNC-Wilmington in men's college basketball Wednesday night at Mackey Arena in West Lafayette.
Terone Johnson led the Boilermakers with 19 points. D.J. Byrd and Travis Carroll added 10 points each.
The Boilermakers led 29-28 at halftime but responded with a strong defensive effort against the Seahawks in the second half, allowing the visitors just 12 points in the final 20 minutes of play.
The Boilermakers improve to 2-3 on the season and travel to Clemson, South Carolina to take on the Tigers Wednesday, November 28 as part of the Big Ten-ACC Challenge.
