WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Purdue Baseball trailed the entire game in its debut at Alexander Field as Ohio State spoiled the opening of the Boilermakers' new ballpark, defeating Purdue 10-1 Friday afternoon.
The Buckeyes led 1-0 when Kirby Rellant led off the top of the fourth with a solo home run. The Boilers scored their only run on a fielder's choice.
The Boilers host the Buckeyes in a doubleheader at Alexander Field Saturday afternoon at 2.
