WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Purdue Head Football Coach Danny Hope said on his radio show Monday night that quarterback Robert Marve has ACL damage to his left knee but added that nothing is official on the extent of the injury and the MRI.

Marve injured his knee on a play in Purdue's game against Notre Dame on Saturday. But, Marve did walk off the field under his own power.

"Last week in the opener, his knee buckled and we all held our breath for a little bit, and he was OK," Hope said before Sunday's practice. "And yesterday, it gets buckled under pressure and there is some swelling and some soreness, but we won't know until we get the MRI, so I have no idea what to expect, really, to be honest with you. I have my fingers crossed and am praying about it."

Marve has suffered two ACL tears in his past.
