LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The team from Los Gatos, California scored five runs in the third inning and never trailed in defeating the ballclub from Bayamon, Puerto Rico 13-3 in the championship game of the Colt World Series Thursday night at Loeb Stadium in Lafayette.
It's the second consecutive year that Los Gatos has won the Colt World Series, both times in dominating fashion.
Los Gatos scored three runs in both the first and second inning before adding five runs in the third inning, increasing their lead to an insurmountable 11-2 margin.
The championship game was a rematch of last year's Colt World Series, which Los Gatos also won by a decisive margin.
