WASHINGTON, D.C. (WLFI) - Former Purdue Boilermaker and Harrison Raider Josh Lindblom made his Philadelphia Phillies debut Wednesday night, pitching one-third of an inning of scoreless relief in the Phillies 3-2 victory over the Washington Nationals.
Lindblom, a right-handed relief pitcher, was acquired by the Phillies Tuesday from the Los Angeles Dodgers in a trade in which the Phillies sent veteran outfielder Shane Victorino to the Dodgers.
Lindblom, who had made 48 relief appearances this season with the Dodgers, made his Phillies debut in the eighth inning and lowered his season earned run average to 3.00.
