Granger receives injection in left knee

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WLFI) - The Indiana Pacers received some bad news Wednesday as the team announced that forward Danny Granger received an injection in his sore left knee and will miss a significant amount of time.
Pacers medical personnel say that a recovery time of at least three months is expected, which means that the Pacers top scorer would return in February, at the earliest.
Granger has not played this season after initially injuring his knee during last season's playoffs. Granger played in one preseason game this year but has been sidelined since with what's diagnosed as patellar tendinosis.
Granger averaged 18.7 points per game last season and has averaged 18.2 points per game in seven NBA seasons, all with the Pacers.
