Connolly advances to semifinals

OAMAHA, Nebraska (WLFI) - Former Harrison Raider Jenny Connolly advanced to the semifinals of the 100 meter butterfly Monday at the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials in Omaha, Nebraska.

Connolly qualified for the semifinals by placing 14th in the preliminary round, clocking a time of 59.73 in her opening day of competition.

Connolly, who is slated to compete in the 100 meter backstroke Tuesday, won multiple state championships during her sensational high school career at Harrison and recently completed her collegiate career at the University of Tennessee.
