WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Courtney Moses scored a game-high 26 points to lead 13th-ranked Purdue women's basketball to a 77-73 victory over Northwestern in a Big Ten contest Thursday night at Mackey Arena.
The victory improves the Boilermakers record in Big Ten play to 5-1 and overall mark to 16-3.
Moses connected on four 3-point field goals and hit a pair of late free throws to seal the victory for the Boilers.
Freshman Taylor Manuel came off the bench to add 16 points for the victorious Boilermakers, now 8-0 at Mackey Arena this season.
Senior forward Sam Ostarello, the Big Ten leader in rebounds, posted a double-double. Ostarello scored 10 points and grabbed a game-high 16 points.
It was a milestone night for junior Courtney Moses. She scored her 1,000th career point in her 85th game as a Boilermaker, tying Jannon Roland for 10th fastest in school history to achieve the feat.
Purdue travels to East Lansing, Michigan Sunday to take on Michigan State. The game is scheduled to tip off at four p.m. Eastern time.
