CHICAGO, Ill. (WLFI) - The Chicago Bears held the Detroit Lions scoreless until the final minute in posting a 13-7 victory over their NFC North rival Monday at Soldier Field in Chicago.
With the win, the Bears continue their grip on first place in the NFC North with a record of 5-1.
The Bears scored their points on a first-half seven-yard TD pass from quarterback Jay Cutler to wide receiver Brandon Marshall. Veteran placekicker Robbie Gould added a pair of field goals.
The Bears stymied the Lions offense. Detroit failed to score until the final minute of play when Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford threw a short scoring pass to Ryan Broyles.
