TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - Building fees could soon increase in Tippecanoe County.

If these changes are passed in a second vote, there will be increases in several areas:

The building permit fees for Class One structures will go up two cents per square foot from 20 cents to 22 cents, with no maximum or minimum permit fee.
Demolition permit fees will change from $50 to $75.
Landfill permit fees will increase from $100 to $150.
Re-inspection fees will go up from $35.00 to $50.00

The public is invited to weigh in on the increase at the next Commissioner meeting before the Commissioners take a second vote to pass these changes.
