TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - Building fees could soon increase in Tippecanoe County.

If these changes are passed in a second vote, there will be increases in several areas:

  • The building permit fees for Class One structures will go up two cents per square foot from 20 cents to 22 cents, with no maximum or minimum permit fee.
  • Demolition permit fees will change from $50 to $75.
  • Landfill permit fees will increase from $100 to $150.
  • Re-inspection fees will go up from $35.00 to $50.00

The public is invited to weigh in on the increase at the next Commissioner meeting before the Commissioners take a second vote to pass these changes.
