Tipp. property tax payments coming due

TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - Friday, October 30, is the deadline for Tipppecanoe County property owners to pay their first tax installment. The second installment is due on December 11.

Checks should be made out to the Tippecanoe County Treasurer.

Residents can submit payments in several ways:

1. Pay person at the Treasurers Office between 8:00 AM and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
2. Mail payments to the Treasurer, 20 N 3rd Street, Lafayette, Indiana, 47901. However, if payment is submitted by mail, the envelope must be postmarked by October 30.
3. Payments can be placed in the drop box in front of the county office building at the corner of 3rd and Columbia Streets.
4. First Financial Bank on County Road 350 South accepts payments as long as you bring the tax bill.
5. Pay online via credit card. However, since property tax money cannot be used to pay the credit card service fees, those fees are added to the amount charged to the taxpayer. Two vendors will accept payments for Tippecanoe County: www.tippecanoetax.net and www.officialpayments.com, with jurisdiction number 2408.
