LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - A bread company from Fort Wayne donated 2,400 loaves of bread to Lafayette's Food Finders Food Bank.
Aunt Millie's delivered the bread this afternoon so the Food Bank can help those in need this holiday season.
The retail value of the 2400 loaves is more than $7500.
Food Finders Food Bank Executive Director Katy Bunder said the bread couldn't come at a better time.
"The economy is really bad right now. And, people need help. Sliced bread is something that's in short supply and it can be expensive to buy," said Bunder.
In all, Aunt Millie's will donate more than 57,000 loaves of
bread this holiday season to food banks throughout the Midwest.
