Hoosier Tornado Relief Fund

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) -

WLFI organized a Tornado Relief Drive in greater Lafayette.

We partnered with the American Red Cross, Salvation Army, Wabash National, Regions Bank and area auto dealerships to help bring relief to the storm-damaged areas in southern Indiana.

Other than cash donations, which were preferred, the Salvation Army also accepted some items needed include laundry detergent, diapers, cleaning supplies, heavy-duty trash bags, cases of bottled water, plastic storage containers, work boots and shoes.

The donations are scheduled to be delivered to southern Indiana on Tuesday, March 13.

Beginning Wednesday, March 7, Wabash National, Regions Bank, and area auto dealerships accepted goods to fill a trailer to take down to southern Indiana.

The donations are being delivered to southern Indiana on Tuesday, March 13 and locations are no longer accepting goods to fill the trailer.

You can still make a donation online, or by calling 1-800-SAL-ARMY. Donations marked "Indiana Disaster Relief" can also be mailed or dropped off at the Salvation Army's Lafayette headquarters, at 1110 Union Street, Lafayette, 47905.

A $10 donation to The Salvation Army Disaster Relief fund can be made by texting "STORM" to 80888.  To confirm the gift, respond with the word "YES".

D onations can also be made at all local Regions Bank branches.
