VIGO CO., Ind. (WTHI) - A woman was airlifted from a local hospital to an Indianapolis hospital after receiving multiple facial wounds from wrecking her vehicle into a tree Monday morning.

Elicia Crossno was traveling East on Oregon Church RD. when she said she attempted to answer her cell phone.

Elicia's vehicle veered to the left off to the northside of Roadway striking several small trees.

Crossno received facial injuries and was transported to Regional Hospital and then transferred to Methodist Hospital.

While at the scene an odor of alcohol was detected coming from Crossno.  While at the Hospital, a blood test from Crossno indicated her alcohol level was .31 percent.

Due to her injuries, Crossno was admitted to the Hospital and will be summoned into court at a later time.
