SPENCER, Ind. (WISH) - A high school in Spencer received a threat that caused school buses to divert to other area schools Wednesday morning.
School officials said a threat was directed at Owen Valley High School, but no children were in the school building at the time. Children headed to the school were re-routed to other Spencer-Owen schools, which were put on lockdown as a precaution.
Law enforcement checked the school and determined it was safe to return.
The threat happened shortly after 8 a.m.The lockdown was lifted at 9:16 a.m. Wednesday.
