BROWNSVILLE, Texas (AP) - Who you gonna call? When an alligator near a pedestrian bridge at Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge began threatening visitors, officials phoned the Gladys Porter Zoo in South Texas.

A team from the zoo captured the alligator and relocated it to Laguna Atascosa, the giant lake for which the refuge took its name.

Officials rounded up the belligerent reptile by snaring it and taping its jaws and hind feet, the Valley Morning Star reported Sunday.

A quilt was carefully placed over the gator's head, with the team making sure the nostrils were kept clear.

After removing the gator to the lake, 13 eggs, 12 of them fertile, were discovered and dug up from a nest site. The eggs are being incubated at the zoo.
