ATHENS, Mich. (WOOD) - Michigan State Police are on the lookout for a man who they say robbed a doctor's office and used the money to buy beer.

The break-in happened just after midnight Thursday at Dr. Michael Wetters office in the 400 block of M-66 in Athens.

Police say the burglar broke a window and then stole a small amount of cash from inside. He ran to a white Plymouth/Dodge minivan that was parked near W. Drive South and fled the scene.

The suspect then drove to Deb's One Stop, 126 N. Capital Ave., where police say he bought beer.

The man is described as a tan white male in his 40s, about six feet tall, having brown hair, a mustache and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, ballcap and dark pants.

Anyone with information is asked to call State police at (269) 968-6115.
