INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Dozens of flights to and from Indianapolis International Airport have been delayed as travel problems caused by Superstorm Sandy ripple across the country.
The storm made landfall over New Jersey on Monday evening with 80 mph winds and has grounded well over 10,000 flights across the Northeast and the globe. More than 70 flights at the Indianapolis airport were canceled Monday and dozens more were canceled by Tuesday morning.
Kacey Rohloff tells WRTV that she drove into Indianapolis from New York hoping to catch a flight to California. She says the weather was terrible but that it was a strange sight to see no one driving on the New Jersey Turnpike.
