INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The state attorney general is suing a Carmel-based sports memorabilia seller, accusing him of collecting online customers’ money but not delivering goods in return.
Attorney General Greg Zoeller said 17 consumers filed complaints with his office against Brett Lemieux, doing business as Ultimate Athlete Ink and Ultimate Sports Connection. In all, nearly $2,500 exchanged hands in the transactions involved in the complaints.
It’s not the first time Lemieux has had unhappy customers. Back in 2010, he offered autographed merchandise to customers who made donations to relief efforts after an earthquake in Haiti, but failed to deliver to many. He blamed technical issues and an unexpectedly large response for non-delivery of the promised merchandise then.
