INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The state is looking for local units of government to apply for the 2013 Stellar Communities Program.
The program in its third year is a collaboration between the Office of Community and Rural Affairs, the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority and the Indiana Department of Transportation to pool together major funding sources to help communities achieve their long-term comprehensive strategic goals.
North Vernon and Greencastle won the awards in 2011 and Princeton and Delphi won last year. The four communities are receiving more than $40 million over three years.
The deadline for communities to apply is March 1.
