INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WLFI) - A bill that would ban K2 Spice and similar products throughout Indiana passed out of the House of Representatives 93 to 0 Tuesday.
Republican State Senator Ron Alting's bill would make it illegal to possess, sell, or manufacture K2 Spice mixtures, which are often used to get a high similar to Marijuana.
If made into law, the same penalties for producing, delivering, dealing or possessing marijuana will be established.
"We will get the number one accepted legal drug off of our shelves and make it illegal to possess it, sell it, use it in the state of Indiana," said Alting.
The bill now moves back to the Senate where House amendments will be considered before going to the governor for signature.
