INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A nun suffered smoke inhalation Thursday afternoon when the nun's quarters attached to a church caught fire.
The fire was at St. Bernadette Parish on the east side of Indianapolis. A firefighter was taken to a local hospital for a minor injury.
A handful of nuns live in the area connected to the church, but it wasn't clear if all of them were there at the time of the fire.
It wasn't immediately clear what started the blaze, but it wasn't believed to be suspicious.
Early Wednesday morning, Indianapolis Fire Department firefighters responded to a fire at a downtown Catholic church , and it was ruled arson. The fire left about $400,000 in damages at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the oldest Catholic church in Indianapolis.
