WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Steve Dietrich found out yesterday he was selected to fill the council at-large's seat. He said he's excited to be a part of the council, although he expects to be part of some difficult decisions.
"Everything's going to be driven by the budget. We're gonna have to make some cuts in the city and not picking up the ability to increase our budget with an additional tax for the annexation," Dietrich said. "When that wasn't approved, it's gonna cause some hard decisions to be made."
Dietrich said he has a lot of paperwork to catch up on. He plans to take part in three committees although he's not sure at this point which ones those are.
