KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) - Crowds lined up outside Woodland Mall in Kentwood early Wednesday morning to get wristbands for former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin's evening appearance at Barnes & Noble.

Palin sign copies of her book "Going Rogue" between 6 and 9 p.m. at the store, 3195 28th St. SE. Barnes & Noble will hand out first-come, first-serve wristbands beginning at 7 a.m. Only one wristband will be given per person.

The wristbands will be mandatory in order to get in line for the book signing.

Here is a timeline of what to expect for Palin's visit:

Midnight -- People were permitted to start lining up in the plaza outside Woodland Mall.

5:30 a.m. -- The first people in the plaza lines were allowed inside the mall to another line at the Barnes & Noble entrance. The mall can hold about 600 to 800 people; excess will be lined up outside.

7 a.m. -- Barnes & Noble will start distributing an undisclosed number of wristbands.

6 to 9 p.m. -- Palin signs books inside the store.

Additional wristband information:

If you receive a wristband, you are guaranteed a signature from Palin in the evening. People need to purchase a Palin book when they receive a wristband, or, be able to provide a receipt showing they purchased one at another Barnes & Noble store or the store's Web site.

The wristband does not have a number, so when you return later in the day you will have to get in another line to wait for the autograph.

If Palin gets through all the people with wristbands before 9 p.m., she will give autographs to people without wristbands who are waiting in a standby line.
