WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The the third annual St. Patrick's Day parade took place Saturday, March 21.

Dozens of onlookers lined the John Meyers Pedestrian Bridge in Mardi Gras attire.

Nine Irish Brothers owner, Jerry O'Bryan, said the parade gave members of the Irish community and others a chance to celebrate the culture.

Along with bagpipers, the parade included Morton Community Center Irish dancers and a Fireman's brigade.

Lafayette resident Patrick Egan said he attended the parade to teach his children about their heriatage.

"We're part Irish, part German. We came last year. It was a good time. Some of my friends are in the band, I went to school with at Harrison. I came to kind of cheer them on. It's a good day. We love the bagpipes. My mom loves the bagpipes," said Eagan.

Bert O'Bryan, the oldest of the nine irish brothers, was the Grand Marshall.

The parade began at Riehle Plaza and ended at Nine Irish Brothers in West Lafayette.
