New track, new parking for Grand Prix

Keller to be honorary starter

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The 52nd annual Purdue Grand Prix has a new home and new parking arrangements for the day of the race Saturday, April 25.

A new track was built behind the Schwartz Tennis Center off McCormick Road and Cherry Lane in West Lafayette after the old track on Northwestern Avenue was demolished to make way for the Mackey Arena renovation project .

Spectators for this year's race are being asked to park in the Ross-Ade Stadium parking lot, Lot H, or in one of the university's parking garages.  Buses will shuttle fans to the race track from Ross-Ade, Stewart Center, and the Recreational Sports Center.

The green flag waves for the 150-lap race at 2:30 p.m.   Track seats and pit road are open to the public at 10:00 a.m.

New York Jets tight end and former Purdue Boilermaker Dustin Keller was named the Grand Marshal for this year's race.
