WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The Tippecanoe County Coroner has identified the body found early Tuesday at the Hawkins Hall loading dock, on Purdue’s West Lafayette Campus, as that of Michael Kenneth Allen, 20, of Freemont, California.
Coroner Donna Avolt says Allen jumped from the building.
She says the preliminary cause of death is multiple blunt force injuries after jumping from one of the upper floors of the dormitory.
She says foul play is not suspected.
University Spokesperson, Jeanne Norberg, says Allen was a junior majoring in electrical and computer engineering and lived in Hawkins.
Hawkins, a high-rise residence hall for graduate and older undergraduate students, is near the corner of Sheetz and West Wood streets.
