WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - West Lafayette could spend nearly $24,000 to educate residents on future roundabouts in the city.
Dave Buck, city engineer, said an informational campaign will answer questions about the benefits of roundabouts. The roundabouts would look similar to one in the Purdue Research Park. He said intersections like Cumberland and Kent Avenues, Yeager Road and Cumberland Avenue, and Yeager and Kalberer Roads are good candidates for the traffic measure.
"We want to make sure that folks have an opportunity to learn
more about how roundabouts function, how the driver is supposed to
behave and operate through a roundabout," he said.
Buck says the campaign will include mailings, brochures,
online videos, and public question and answer sessions.
