LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The victims of two different fatal crashes have been identified by Tippecanoe County police.
At 8:30 Friday morning a one-vehicle crash on U.S. 231 South near Romney killed Billy Johnson, 49, of Ladoga and Beth Johnson, 50, also of Ladoga.
Police said Billy Johnson was driving north on 231 when he lost control of the SUV he was driving, left the road, and hit a tree.
Bradley Johnson, 20, of Ladoga was a passenger in the back seat. He was taken to Home Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
At 9:00 Friday morning, a two car crash on State Road 25 North near County Road 1000 East killed LeShawn Justice, 31, of Delphi and Jayce Justice, 9, of Indianapolis.
Police said the car driven by LeShawn Justice was traveling south on 25 when Justice lost control of the car after hitting a patch of ice. Justice's car went sideways and crossed into the northbound lane where it was struck by an SUV driven by Delores Hildebrandt, 72, of Delphi.
Hildebrandt was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center for treatment.
Hildebrandt's passenger, Judith Adams, 64, also of Delphi was taken to Home Hospital.
A passenger in Justice's car, Nakiah Justice, 9, of Indianapolis was also taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
