Indiana - Current road conditions within the Lafayette District of the Indiana State Police, which includes Benton, Warren, Tippecanoe, Clinton, Fountain, Montgomery, White, and Carroll Counties, are starting to become icy and slick. The Indiana State Police Peru District, which includes Cass, Fulton, Miami, Howard, Wabash, and Tipton Counties, is also experiencing ice, which has led to numerous auto accidents.

Troopers are currently investigating a crash at the 154 and the 150 mile marker  on I65 northbound. Traffic is being diverted onto State Road 47 at the 146 mile marker westbound to US 52 north to SR 28 east bound back onto the interstate.

Further problems have been reported at the intersection of Brady and Concord, at the Northwestern Parking Garage, and at the US 231 S bridge over Wabash River. Icy conditions have also led police to close the bridge over the Wabash River on US 231 between Lafayette and West Lafayette. SR 25 north and Buck Creek are said to be a sheet of ice.

Citizens can access road and weather information by going to: www.in.gov/isp or by calling the Indiana State Police Road and Weather Line at 1-800-261-7623.
