OTTERBEIN, Ind. (WLFI) - Even as threatening storms moved into the area, some people were enjoying a night out.

"You go through it just like you do every other storm. It comes along, you just take it like it goes," said Janice Graf.

Graf isn't too concerned with the stormy weather. As rain pelts the pavement outside, she and her two sisters carry on eating their dinner, enjoying a night out.

"It doesn't really bother me if I'm out, I figure I'll find shelter somewhere," said Judy Stout.

Pizza King manager Will Satchell said he feels safe working during the storm serving the groups of people dining in, although he said some of his employees may not share his feelings.

"I got a few people that get kind of nervous when it storms but I think we're in a pretty safe building," said Satchell

The storms did cause some damage in the Otterbein area.

At 11449 East 975 North in Benton County a shed was struck by lightning. The shed and all belongings inside were destroyed. Resident Britny Sears said she had just moved her things in there for storage.

"I was inside cooking, my brothers came yelling the sheds on fire and I looked out and they already called 911 so all i could do was look at it," said Sears. "All my memories, I had so many pictures."

Sears said all her items were completely destroyed in the fire including photo albums and her bedroom dresser. No one was injured in the fire.
