JASPER COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - 48-year-old Michael Lindsey is being held in the Jasper County jail without bond.

Jasper County Prosecutor James Lakin said he may file formal charges Tuesday, March 3, after reviewing the case.

So far, no initial hearing has been set.

Jasper County police reported Lindsey was caught in Newton County yesterday after five days on the run.

He is accused of abducting a woman in Mishawaka last Tuesday, February 24, then releasing her in White county.

Police believe on Friday, February 27,  Lindsey tried to force himself into a woman's car along the Interstate.

Spokesperson Catherine Wilson from the St. Joseph County Prosecutor's office said Lindsey will have to be transferred to the jail in St. Joseph County from the Jasper County Jail.

Wilson said when Lindsey is returned to St. Joseph county, he faces two counts of criminal confinement.

She said the two jails have not coordinated when the transfer will take place.
Lakin says it's possible Lindsey could have an initial hearing in St. Joseph county.

No charges have been filed in White or Newton Counties.
