FLORA, Ind. - Skydivers from Air Indiana Skydiving dropped two-thousand eggs on the football field at Carroll Junior-Senior High School.
Dozens of children jumped on the chance to gather the
candy-filled eggs.
For Co-Owner of Air Indiana Skydiving George Capitanio the
Easter egg drop was a first.
"First they called and wanted us to drop them out of the
airplane and have them hit the airfield, but with the prop blast
they wouldn't hit the airfield. They would be scattered about a
mile. So we told them what if we jump and dumped them in. So they
got the permission for us to land out here. We said it was
something we'd like to do for the community and out we came," said
Capitanio.
The event, sponsored by Jubilee Fellowship, also included a raffle for a variety of prizes from easter baskets to bicycles.
