CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. - Crawfordsville Police are still on the look-out for two escaped convicts from Florida.

Doni Ray Brown and Timothy Wayne Fletcher escaped from the Putnam County Jail in Florida on Wednesday.

The two are suspected of killing a 66 year-old woman in Palatka, Florida, and ditching her stolen car hundreds of miles away in Kentucky.

Police say the men may be driving a 2003, four-door, red Oldsmobile Alero with Kentucky license plates.

Crawfordsville Police Chief Kurt Knecht said investigators believe they could be headed to Montgomery County because one of the men has family in the area.

The men should be considered armed and dangerous.

"If anybody sees anything suspicious or they believe they've spotted the vehicle or these individuals matching the description do not approach them. Just immediately find a phone and call 911," said Knecht.

Knecht says the Crawfordsville Police will be on heightened alert until both men are captured.
