COVINGTON, Ind. (WLFI) - Investigators said a Veedersburg couple accused of child
molestation and exploitation had been performing sexual acts on
children for more than five months before they were arrested.
Court documents state Samantha Light, 25, and Stephen
Quick, 31, began these acts in September of 2008 and they continued
until February 2009.
Fountain County Prosecutor Terry Martin said Light has been charged with five felony counts of child molest and exploitation.
If convicted, Light could be sentenced to a total of 166 years.
Martin said Quick has been charged with four felony counts.
If convicted, Quick could go to prison for 158 years.
Light and Quick were arrested on March 5 by the Fountain County Sheriff's Department after police were told of a girl who alleged to have been touched inappropriately and filmed by the couple in their Veedersburg home.
Police served a search warrant at the house and said they found a one-and-half-hour long videotape of Light and Quick performing sexual acts with four children.
Court papers state the couple allegedly molested a three year old girl, a boy believed to be between 6 and 10, an infant boy, and a baby girl less than a year old.
Light and Quick remain in jail.
Fountain County Judge Susan Orr Henderson set bond at $100,000 for each. The full amount must be paid to make bail.
An omnibus hearing in the case has been scheduled for May 14.
