Republicans can apply for open seat

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Tippecanoe County Republican Chair Bob Hicks said several people have already contacted him about the vacant seat created by Randy Truitt's resignation. Truitt was elected to the Indiana House of Representatives.
Interested applicants, who live in West Lafayette, have until 4:00 p.m. November 27 to apply for the at-large council seat. Applications are available at Republican headquarters or by calling (765) 742-2910.
Thirteen precinct committee members from West Lafayette will appoint someone to fill the remaining three years of Truitt's term.
The party caucus is scheduled for Sunday, November 30.
