BURNETTSVILLE, Ind. (WLFI) - Jeremy Penn, 27, was arrested for the theft of a Logansport car, and was been named as a person of interest in the Burnettsville bank robbery case. Police have now declared that he is the suspect.

Penn allegedly took the vehicle from a Logansport car dealership for a test drive the morning before the bank robbery, but never returned the car.

He was arrested in Kokomo without incident just after 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, and is now being held in the Cass County Jail.

The State Bank of Burnettsville was robbed at around 12:27 p.m. on March 30. The robber took an undisclosed amount of money without displaying a weapon and left the bank on foot.

Trooper Detective Stephen Buckley stated, “Without the help from Logansport Police Department, Cass County Sheriff’s Department, White County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana Department of Natural Resources Enforcement Division, Kokomo Police Department, and Monticello Police Department this arrest may not have been made. All departments working together on different leads and information from the public helped solve this case quickly!”
