ATLANTIC, Iowa (WLFI) - Strong tailwinds helped a pair of Purdue aviation students race to the finish line of this year's Air Race Classic.

Captain Juliana Lindner and co-pilot Lauren Steele finished the 2,500 mile race Friday, June 26 in Atlantic, Iowa.

Lindner and Steele placed fourth among college teams, and 15th overall against 31 other all-female teams.

The duo is returning to West Lafayette from Iowa Monday afternoon.
