WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Student ambassadors for Purdue, known as the Silver Twins, who have already traveled to China for the Olympics are now headed to another big event.

Sara and Chellie Zou will attend Barack Obama's inauguration next week.

"We're working on it. We have our suitcases out and we're planning our outfits," the twins explained.

Together the twins will attend the inauguration, but they will be going through separate organizations. Both knew they would be on the guest list before any of the candidates were named, but the occasion holds special significance for them because the candidate they supported won.

"We knew we were going so after we found our he got the presidency it was just added excitement because we're going to be there," said Sara and Chellie.

The Zous explained attending the event will also help with their studies.

Sara is majoring in political science and Chellie in Communications.  Both ladies will be updating WLFI throughout their experience; you can view their updates here. See the inauguration ceremonies live on CBS Tuesday starting at 10 a.m.
