MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - Friday morning a motorcycle driver died after crashing with a car in Montgomery County.

County units responded to reports of the crash at 8:18 a.m. Friday near the area of State Road 47 South near State Road 59.

Investigators say a passenger car, driven by 22-year-old Kimberly M. Smith of Marshall, Ind., had collided with a Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by 42-year-old Matthew Horn.

Both Smith and Horn were treated on the scene and transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Crawfordsville.

Horn was pronounced dead at the hospital. Smith was being treated and is expected to be released.

Toxicology results are pending, as is standard with a fatal crash.
