WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Purdue’s Women in Engineering Program will showcase its afterschool outreach program during an upcoming open house.
Students and their families can come to see what “Imagination, Innovation, Discovery and Design” (I2D2) is all about.
The program is free and open to girls and boys in grades K-8. The open house will be held Feb. 23 in Hampton Hall of Civil Engineering, rooms 2118 and 2123.
Kids and their families can come in any time from 9 a.m. to noon to explore open exhibits. They’ll be able to take part in hands-on activities at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. that will explore basic engineering concepts under the guidance of engineering students.
No pre-registration is required, but children must be accompanied by an adult during the event.
For more information, email I2D2 program coordinator Becca Scott at scott116@purdue.edu, call the office at 765-496-7442 or head to the department’s website.
