TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - There were mixed emotions among local voters when it came to the presidential race.
Many voters said they were on the edge of their seats Tuesday night as numbers for President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney were coming in.
After months of campaigning and re-runs of political ads, many voters said they're happy this year's election is over.
Some said they're satisfied with President Obama being re-elected, while others said they would have liked Romney to be their next president.
"I'm sick. I couldn't even sleep last night," voter Pat Patek said. "I went to bed after Ohio claimed Obama, and oh my goodness, I had to get up again, and I'm an excellent sleeper."
"I think it was great. I was really really happy that Obama won," voter Sherry Long said.
"We have to get the economy going. Without the that you don't have a military, you don't have anything and that's the big frightening point here," voter Carl Patek said.
