TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - The wife of a well-known and loved Tippecanoe County coroner who died in a car crash has been chosen to be acting coroner until the elections in November -- and has also been voted onto the November ballot for the position.
Thursday night at the caucus, Avolt was sworn in as acting coroner until November.
In a 49-36 vote, she was also chosen to be on the November ballot.
